Nobel Prize Teacher Summit 2021
8 October 2021, 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM CEST
In the flood of facts
Teaching strategies to navigate towards knowledge between scientific facts, personal values and conspiracy theories.
A complex world requires sharp skills for navigating. Fast newsflashes, complex conflicts, false information and polarized values can make the flood of facts difficult to overview. Let’s learn more about how we teach these skills!
What can teachers do, to prepare our students to distinguish facts from values? How do we teach strategies to debunk lies? Which methods can we use to encourage curious questions? And is it even possible to teach trust? We need better didactic methods to prevent knowledge resistance and to reveal misinformation, lies and conspiracy theories. At the Teacher Summit, you will learn more about scientific critical thinking and discuss teaching strategies with colleagues from other countries. Let´s learn from Nobel Prize laureates, scientists and fellow teachers at the Nobel Prize Teacher Summit.
